Remos Aircraft has put the finishing touches on a corporate expansion program that will help it to continue its global marketing strategy, the company announced April 27.
Edward Roberto has been named chief executive officer of the Remos Aircraft Group. Roberto comes from the high tech field with 25 years of experience in a variety of executive and operating capacities including operational, financial, and technical roles, the company said.
A new investment program from the company’s owner group and investors has positioned Remos Aircraft to capitalize on its strengths in German precision engineering in the rapidly expanding light sport aircraft market, said Michael Bauer, Remos Aircraft Group chairman of the board.
Remos is “very fortunate that we had made the changes we needed to make and that we have money available to us … to actually continue to fund growth and to develop programs,” said Ken Weaver, vice president of marketing. While many LSA manufacturers are engaged in “emergency belt-tightening” and riding out the storm of the current economy, Remos continues to attract and invest money in its long-term programs and in infrastructure, product development, and staffing, he said. “Every dollar we spend now is a multiplier effect because of the economy. We get a bigger bang for the buck by continuing to invest now,” Weaver said.
