Glimpse the future at AOPA Aviation Summit

What will general aviation look like in 2020? Professional futurist, pilot, and former naval aviator John L. Petersen will take attendees on a tour of the horizon of GA in a keynote address at AOPA Aviation Summit in Long Beach, Calif., Nov. 13.

Petersen, founder and president of the nonprofit, future-oriented The Arlington Institute, will talk about trends that are converging to redefine what we fly, how we fly, and where we fly. Find out about trends in propulsion, fuel and power, materials, avionics, air traffic control, and demographic and environmental concerns—and how you can get a leg up on dealing with big changes ahead.

Petersen, an AOPA member, will come to Summit fresh from keynoting a government-wide workshop on the future of aviation in the United States. Best known for his work on “wild cards” and the process of surprise anticipation, he also writes about the future of aviation for Professional Pilot magazine and is a member of the board of directors of the Charles A. and Anne Morrow Lindbergh Foundation.

Listen to Petersen’s keynote address, “GA in 2020,” Saturday, Nov. 13, at 9 a.m. at Summit. AOPA Aviation Summit takes place Nov. 11 through 13 in Long Beach, Calif.
