New kit airplane may be offered

Kit AirplaneA new kitbuilder from Florida has entered the scene with a design that may be on the market one day. V-Raptor Aircraft is apparently not taking deposits as yet, but has completed a prototype of its Orion model.

No price has been determined for the “four or five” seat aircraft. There was no information on what engine most customers might prefer to use with the aircraft.

The piston-engine, pusher design features a canard wing and twin vertical stabilizers. Further, through its work with the FAA’s National Kit Evaluation Team, the factory hopes to offer a rapid builder assist program that allows owner-builders and their representatives the ability to assemble their Orion airframe in as little as four weeks. The build program comes with an airframe-completion-time guarantee.
