Liberty Aerospace offers free training with aircraft purchase

liberty aircraftIn an effort to attract nonpilots to flying, Liberty Aerospace will be exhibiting at the Palm Beach International Boat Show in West Palm Beach, Fla., March 25 through 28.

Liberty said it plans to connect with individuals who enjoy a fun and active lifestyle with a limited-time offer: buy a Liberty XL2 and get free flight training, along with free scheduled maintenance for a year after delivery. The “Learn to Fly Free” program promotes a customized flight-training package for two, including all fuel, Liberty said. The manufacturer plans to work with customers to design a package based on flight training experience (from introductory or continued to recurrent) and individual preferences.

Growing the pilot population has been a difficult task for manufacturers and aviation organizations alike; Liberty’s tactic is to appeal to people who may already have similar interests. Exhibiting at a boat show gives the manufacturer access to people already interested in recreational vehicles.

“As the designers and manufacturers of the critically acclaimed Liberty XL2, we’ve decided to spread our wings and touch the lives of people that have simply thought about flying at some point in their life. We want to make this dream a reality. And what better way to accomplish this dream than to learn to fly, for free, in your very own certified personal airplane!” the company said in a statement.

Aircraft and a full-scale mock-up will be on display at the show, site 719 and 720.
