Michael Combs and the Flight for the Human Spirit are making some of the highest altitude treks of his journey this week as he travels along the eastern side of the Rocky Mountains.
Combs flew his Remos GX light sport aircraft to Wyoming on May 17, after departing Montana. He spent May 15 flying throughout Nebraska and South and North Dakota, but not before urging his followers to “celebrate International Learn to Fly Day with us. Go to your area airport and see some airplanes.”
Monday’s trek is expected to add another 544 miles, bringing the total to more than 7,500 miles flown so far. Colorado will be the thirtieth state of the Flight for the Human Spirit’s itinerary.
You can follow Michael Combs’s progress at AOPA Online or the Flight for the Human Spirit website for live Twitter and Facebook updates and videos.
