Epic Flight: Greenland Adventure
General aviation aircraft can take us to amazing places—this month we’ve gone out of this world. Three Bonanzas left western Maryland, briefly stopped at the last U.S. outpost in Maine for customs paperwork, and donned spacesuits (immersion suits) for a flight into “another planet” as trip organizer Adrian Eichhorn described Greenland. Technology is always leading us to do more, go faster, and the Sikorsky X2 has done exactly that for helicopter technology. Al Marsh has been reporting on the X2 for several years, and this month takes a comprehensive look at the whole project and shows us the final speed test in this online video.
