CFIs have the demanding, yet rewarding responsibility of developing the pilots of tomorrow. To help CFIs recruit new students and give current students the best possible chance at success, AOPA encourages CFIs to take advantage of the following resources:
Free advertising of your services. Reach prospective students by posting your name and contact information on AOPA’s Online Flight Instructor Directory.
Resources to make your job easier. A library of online educational and marketing resources to support you and your students and safety publications, videos, quizzes and more online.
Free subscription to Flight Training magazine. Continue to enroll your students in AOPA’s free six-month student trial membership and we’ll continue your free subscription.
New! Encourage your students to enroll in MyFlightTraining, a free online training support system designed to encourage and motivate students through each phase of their initial training. For each completed milestone, students are eligible to win $1,000 for flight training and more! (No purchase necessary. See official rules for details.)

AOPA introduces a new youth membership for students age 13 through 18 at EAA AirVenture this month. AV8RS will serve to develop a new generation of pilots and AOPA members by raising awareness of aviation and flight through effective education, engagement, cultivation, and support. The youth membership has a $15 value, but is free to teens 13 through 18.
Benefits include:
AOPA's Pilot Protection Services (PPS) provides proactive tips and advice from aviation medical and legal experts to help you avoid problems with the FAA. It combines the best of AOPA's Legal Services Plan and former medical program to help you protect both your medical and pilot certificates with one plan. PPS puts experienced aviation professionals on your side for a fraction of their normal fees. The program was built with input from AOPA members and is designed to meet the needs of pilots, starting at just $39 a year.
