Jeppesen previews FlitePlan Online, Mobile FliteDeck 2.0

Jepp

Pilots who subscribe to Jeppesen products will have free access to FlitePlan Online that will debut later this year. The flight planner will connect to the company’s Mobile FliteDeck 2.0, also set to release before the end of the year, to allow pilots to plan their flights online and then push it to their iPad for the flight.

Jeppesen provided a peek at its new products Oct. 12 during a product demonstration at AOPA Aviation Summit in Palm Springs, Calif. Current subscribers and non-Jeppesen customers interested in trying the flight planner can log in or create a new free account on MyJeppesen.com to try the beta version. Those who create a free account will be able to try the new product for free for 30 days once it is released.

Mobile FliteDeck 2.0 will feature new enhancements including a redesigned user interface, weather, and a nighttime theme for night flights.

While Jeppesen products are typically sold in a package that allows installation on four different devices, the company announced that they are now offering a two-installation package at a 40-percent discount. The new pricing structure is currently limited to the U.S. market.
