Ikhana Aircraft Services, a Murrieta, Calif., company based at French Valley Airport, is offering a de Havilland DHC-6 Twin Otter X2 program featuring proprietary modification and enhancements, including wing box and fuselage modifications.
The program returns DHC-6 airplanes to new structural life limits of 66,000 flight hours or 132,000 flight cycles, whichever occurs first. “We are essentially providing the Twin Otter with a new birth certificate and a new, full useful life,” said John Zublin, president and CEO of Ikhana. Three deliveries are planned for 2013.
Other new systems include avionics, overhauled or factory new engines, and overhauled or new propellers. Aircraft are delivered with exterior paint stripping, epoxy prime, seam seal, and epoxy paint, based on customer specifications.
