FAA changes effective date for Green Bay Sectional

The FAA is changing the scheduled effective date for the Green Bay Sectional Chart in order to accommodate the charting of the Minneapolis (MSP) Class B airspace modification, which becomes effective Jan. 9, 2014.

The current edition of the sectional, which was scheduled to expire on Dec. 12, 2014, will remain effective until Jan. 9 to sync with the effective date of the Minneapolis Class B modifications.

Pilots are urged to read the safety alert in the Aeronautical Chart Bulletins section of the Airport/Facility Directory for updated information on major changes in information that have occurred since the last chart publication.

The effective date for the Green Bay Sectional chart is being changed, and will now be effective Jan. 9, 2014, to May 29, 2014. “Members who transit the Green Bay area should be aware of the modification and take the proper action to ensure they have the most updated information,” said Melissa McCaffrey, AOPA senior government analyst for air traffic services.
