Inexpensive G-meter available for certified aircraft

If you’ve ever wanted a G-meter but couldn’t justify the cost, now is the time. Flight Data Systems announced that its GT-50 is available for certificated aircraft.

The GT-50 is a combination clock, G-meter, timer, voltmeter, and outside air temperature gauge that fits into one two-and-a-quarter-inch hole. Previously only available for the experimental market, Flight Data Systems says they have sold more than 3,000 of the units already.

Because installing the instrument should be a minor alteration, buyers will likely to be able to source the work locally if they choose to. The GT-50 is $169, and is available directly from Flight Data Systems or one of the company’s dealers, including Aircraft Spruce and Specialty.
