AOPA takes greater role in protecting Nevada airports

AOPA regional manager named to state airport association board

AOPA Western Pacific Regional Manager John Pfeifer, who attended the Nevada Airports Association conference in Minden March 26 and 27, has been elected to serve a two-year term on the organization’s board.

Airports are vital to general aviation businesses and activities, which is why AOPA believes it is important to support organizations like the Nevada Airports Association.

“Airports are vital to AOPA members, and AOPA continues to be actively involved in state airport associations,” said Pfeifer. “AOPA has long been involved with the Nevada Airports Association, and I’m pleased to take on the added role of serving on the association’s board of directors. It gives AOPA a greater voice in state airport issues.”

Also in attendance at the Nevada Airports Association conference were airport managers, local officials, consultants, and a representative from the National Business Aviation Association, most of whom are all AOPA members.
