Feel the airplane

Spice up a lazy 8 by steepening the bank angle and you’ve got a “Crazy 8,” a fun, flowing, rhythmic maneuver that allows you to get the feel of an airplane through a broad range of speeds, altitudes, and bank angles. The maneuver consists of a series of 180-degree turns in which you climb for the first half of each turn and descend for the second half. Ideally, you’ll finish each 180-degree turn at the same altitude and airspeed at which you began.
