Universal Avionics offers new flight deck

Universal Avionics has announced the InSight Integrated Flight Deck with embedded next-generation synthetic vision that includes an advanced mapping capability and an intuitive graphical pilot interface.

The system uses 10.4-inch displays. The graphical pilot interface is provided through a five-inch flat-panel display using a cursor for point-and-click action.

The InSight display system has an embedded synthetic vision system with advanced mapping capability, electronic charts, radio controls, broadcast weather support, and graphical flight planning. The synthetic vision system includes terrain shading, ice and water features, obstacles, urban area outlines, high-resolution airport maps, runways, taxiways, ramp areas, and pilot-selectable viewing angles.

The electronic maps and charts feature airport and terminal, airway depiction, special-use airspace, and remaining runway distance. Embedded radio control offers suggested frequencies and point-and-click tuning from the map. You can also use point-and-click features to edit the flight plan.

Universal Avionics now offers the Insight Integrated Flight Deck with embedded synthetic vision.
