The Ninety-Nines announces spring Fly Now Award

Student pilots who are members of The International Organization of Women Pilots (The Ninety-Nines) are eligible to apply for the spring 2015 Fly Now Award.

Offered through The Ninety-Nines Amelia Earhart Scholarship Fund, the Fly Now Award provides up to $3,000 toward the completion of a recreational, sport, or private pilot certificate. Applicants need not have soloed or passed a knowledge test to be eligible. If a medical is required for the pilot certificate being sought, applicants must provide a medical certificate.

The deadline to submit an application is March 15. Recipients will be notified by April 30, and training must be completed by April 30 of the following year. For more information or an application, see the website.

Fall 2015 Fly Now Award applications will be made available later this year. The deadline for fall applications is Sept. 15.
