Garmin sets two open house events

Garmin will offer its customers opportunities to learn about its navigational products with seminars and a tour of manufacturing facilities when the company opens the doors of its Olathe, Kansas, headquarters for the first Garmin Aviation Open House on June 11. A second event will be held June 25 at Garmin’s Salem, Oregon, facility.

The Garmin Aviation Open House in Olathe is tentatively scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. on June 11 in the Garmin lobby for a brief mixer and a welcome session. Tours of the flight simulator lab, Garmin’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, and its product reliability lab will follow at 4:30  p.m.

At 5:30 p.m., four 15-minute educational sessions will address Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B), the GTN 650/750 touchscreen series, the Garmin Pilot app, and the G3X Touch display. The open house will conclude with prize drawings at 6:30 p.m.

Garmin is located four miles west of Johnson County Executive Airport. A shuttle will be available to transport guests between the airport and Garmin headquarters.

Guests who will arrive via aircraft should park at KCAC Aviation, which has offered a $0.25-per-gallon discount on fuel to anyone who flies in for the event. Please notify the line staff when placing your fuel order.

Visit Garmin’s Aviation Open House Registration website to RSVP. Space for the events in Olathe and Salem is limited to 200 attendees.
