Flight Display Systems unveils new screens

Flight Display Systems has launched two new EDGE 4K ultra-thin, lightweight high-definition displays to provide in-flight entertainment and cabin controls.

Measuring one inch thick, the displays provide bright image quality while taking up less space on an aircraft. Designed to enhance image quality with increased color accuracy, contrast, and clarity, the new displays provide a 3840 x 2160 4K resolution to reproduce over one billion colors.

The 4K displays are the result of years of research and development. Flight Display Systems first introduced 4K displays for business and private aircraft in 2014. Initially, the company will be launching the 4K displays in 27-inch and 32-inch screen sizes.

Additional details are available at booth C7824 at the National Business Aviation Association convention in Las Vegas Nov. 17 through 19.
