Textron Aviation Inc., the owner of the Cessna and Beechcraft brands, announced April 20 the launch of new maintenance and warranty programs for Cessna Citation, Hawker jet, and Beechcraft King Air owners.
The factory-direct maintenance programs include a pre-buy inspection and six-month warranty from Textron Aviation, an extended service plan for Citation jets and King Air turboprops, and a program dubbed King Air Direct that includes factory maintenance, both scheduled and unscheduled, for King Air owners.
A Textron representative said the programs are all designed to be “cost-competitive,” though the actual prices were not provided. Those prices vary by aircraft model and age, according to Textron’s Lindsay Adrian.
Textron purchased the Beechcraft and Hawker brands in 2014, bringing them under the Textron Aviation umbrella along with Cessna. Those three brands account for more than half of the active general aviation fleet, the company noted.
“Maintaining the pedigree and value of their aircraft is a top priority for our customers, and these programs have been tailored to provide operators with comprehensive, cost-competitive solutions with the expertise only the manufacturer can provide,” said Brad Thress, senior vice president of customer service, in a news release. “With these newest support options, we continue to widen our coverage and make factory-direct service more accessible and attainable for our customers.”
