AOPA members have the opportunity to meet with state legislator in New Mexico, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Iowa to discuss aviation issues and initiatives.
Each of the states will host an aviation day during which the public can attend events at the capitols to talk to legislators and their staff.
“It is important to share the impact and importance of general aviation with state legislators so they can consider it as they are voting on bills and legislation,” said AOPA Central Southwest Regional Manager Yasmina Platt, who will attend the aviation days in New Mexico, Kansas, and Oklahoma. Platt has participated in several Iowa aviation days.
AOPA encourages members to attend the aviation days, but if unable, please contact your legislators to make them aware of the event in their area.
