Aspen Avionics adding features to display ADS-B data

Textual weather reports the latest update

Aspen Avionics is certifying an Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) display feature on its Evolution 500/1000 multifunction display to show textual current weather information.

Other features show temporary flight restrictions, airmets, sigmets, convective sigmets, winds aloft, temperatures aloft, and terminal aerodrome forecasts.

All Aspen and Aspen-compatible ADS-B products are capable of displaying the additional flight information on the MFD.

"During the month of July, Aspen is offering $1,000 off list pricing of its Pro Primary Flight Display with the purchase of any certified Aspen or Aspen-compatible ADS-B solution regardless of manufacturer," the company announced.

In other Aspen news, Aspen received a supplemental type certificate for installation of Aspen’s Evolution 1000H primary flight display and optionally for the Evolution 500H or the Evolution 1000H MFD in MD Helicopter models 369E, 369FF, and 500N.

Pilots at EAA AirVenture can stop by Aspen's display at Hangar B, Booth 2145.
