Daher announced an upgrade to its TBM 900 April 4 at the Sun 'n Fun International Fly-In and Expo  in Lakeland, Florida. Dubbed the 910, the new model includes a number of interior improvements, as well as Garmin’s new G1000 NXi panel.

The G1000 NXi is Garmin’s next-generation G1000, and includes many feature enhancements, including moving map in the HSI window, graphic frequency confirmation, improved font readability, VFR sectional and IFR chart support, and better touch feel on buttons. The system is also significantly faster.

Garmin’s Flight Stream 510 support is included. This system enables flight plan, traffic, and weather transfers via a tablet. And in a major step forward, databases also can be updated wirelessly through a tablet application.

The new TBM 910 also includes some interior refinements: The seats are redesigned and there are more USB ports, for example.

An innovative “elite privacy compartment” also is available now as an option. First announced last summer at EAA AirVenture, the side-facing potty seat becomes completely blocked off from the rest of the cabin through a creative electrically folding wall housed in an armrest.

The TBM 910 is already FAA and EASA certified, and deliveries will begin this month. The first airframe is on display at AERO Friedrichshafen in Germany this week.
