The ability to rotate between portrait and landscape views and to pinch zoom are two new features in version 1.1 of the AOPA app. The app, launched just over two months ago, is growing in popularity with members, with more than 7,000 installations and high user ratings.
“Just like with everything else that we launch for the AOPA pilot community, we are constantly listening to feedback and working to improve the app,” said AOPA Senior Vice President of Marketing Jiri Marousek.
The new release, published Oct. 2 through the Apple iTunes and Google Play stores, also features new content including a Products and Services section to highlight AOPA’s insurance, financing, and Pilot Protection Services options, as well as an Advocacy page to feature the top legislative issues the association is working on to protect the freedom to fly. The finance section includes an on-the-go aircraft loan calculator.
