Co-ownership program for Mooney Ultras announced

Mooney International and aircraft co-ownership company Partners in Aviation have teamed up to expand the opportunities for aircraft buyers to own a new Mooney Ultra single-engine airplane.

The MooneyShares partnership, announced in a news release Oct. 16, could help buyers of the high-performance airplanes “realize never-before-seen price and cost-of-ownership advantages,” it said.

The normally aspirated Mooney M20U Ovation Ultra and the twin-turbocharged M20V Acclaim Ultra were certified earlier this year.

“The Mooney Ovation and Acclaim Ultras are the perfect aircraft to offer to this new and exciting buying segment,” said Lance Phillips, sales and marketing director of Kerrville, Texas-based Mooney International. “Speed and versatility make any business or entrepreneur much more competitive, and these aircraft have been designed to provide those advantages. MooneyShares brings it all together.”

Customers co-owning an aircraft through the program can “realize acquisition costs as low as 50 cents on the dollar, while having the ability to share maintenance, service and handling. Whether operating a flight department or flying for business and leisure, owners can now experience a brand new Mooney, a situation previously only dreamed of for many,” Phillips said.

Partners in Aviation President Mark Molloy said the appeal of the Ultra models to business and personal travelers made them a good fit for “buyers who in the past may not have even considered purchasing new.”

“Mooney added a pilot’s-side door to the legendary M20 design, they incorporated the very latest in avionics technology and created an interior that even Porsche or Ferrari owners will appreciate,” he said.
