Aeroprakt in America
Variety is everywhere in the light sport aircraft segment, even within a particular make and model. Take designer Yuri Yakovlev's Aeroprakt A22LS from Ukraine: It's a mostly metal high-winged, two-place airplane with doors that are essentially gigantic windows, providing superb visibility. Powerplant choices include several Rotax engines, and you might spot the airplane on tricycle gear or on floats, fitted with a stick or yoke, and outfitted with a glass cockpit or analog instruments. AOPA Live compared the floatplane version's capabilities to the venerable Piper Super Cub, and a fly-off revealed the results.
Final Exam
Question

I recently completed a private pilot flight test to add a multiengine rating. When I received my new pilot certificate, it still showed I hold only a single-engine rating. How do I correct this error?
Answer
Contact the FAA Airmen Certification branch. Mistakes do happen at the FAA, even when the pilot and examiner verify that all information on the airman application is correct.
