Caribbean Sky Tours, a provider of products and services for general aviation pilots conducting international flights to Mexico, the Bahamas, the Caribbean, and Central and South America, announced an expansion of its Caribbean Sky Tours Pilots Association website to better prepare pilots for their cross-border trips.
Since 2004 Caribbean Sky Tours, led by Rick Gardner, AOPA’s representative for the Bahamas, the Caribbean, Mexico, and Central America, has been a reliable source of aviation information on country-specific regulations, permits, documents, and procedures for pilots, flying organizations, and flight planning providers. GA also benefits from its work addressing regulatory issues with civil aviation, immigration, and customs officials throughout the region.
In a news release, Caribbean Sky Tours announced expanding the Caribbean Sky Tours Pilots Association website. Intended for piston, turboprop, and jet operators, the website includes country-specific information, downloadable international VFR and IFR charts, airport charts, international weather, fuel prices, lists of Airports of Entry, do-it-yourself overflight permits, and specialized topics such as traveling with pets.
The website, available to members for $49.99 a year, also includes video tutorials covering documents and procedures, trip planning and execution, air defense identification zone crossing, and more, the announcement said.
