A touch of glass
Airshows and new-aircraft announcements go together like plane spotters and binoculars, so keep your field glasses handy for logging a sighting in a year or so of an updated example of a two-place, low-wing, canopied airplane from Tecnam, of Capua, Italy. Sleeker than its designation, the new glass-cockpit model rolled out at Aero Friedrichshafen in Germany in April. The Rotax-powered Tecnam P2002JF MkII IFR cruises at 129 knots, burns four gallons of fuel per hour, and should receive certification for instrument flight in 2020. (Photo courtesy of Tecnam.)

Question

I have decided to install Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast Out in my airplane. How do I apply for the rebate?
Answer
Unfortunately, all rebates have been reserved. The FAA has noted, however, that some rebate reservations will be returned or will expire, and those will be offered again. Rebate availability will be sporadic; check the website each Wednesday at 1 p.m. Eastern time for updates.
