The FAA has announced that a VIP temporary flight restriction (TFR) will be in effect in the West Palm Beach, Florida, area from November 26 to December 1.

Multiple notices to airmen may be in effect during the period, according to an FAA TFR alert bulletin. Pilots planning to fly in the area should check notams frequently for the exact location and effective times of restrictions.

Although the White House has not announced that President Donald Trump plans to spend the Thanksgiving holiday period at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, a local newspaper reported that he is scheduled to be in the area on November 26 for a political rally. It also noted that the flight-restricted period is consistent with his previous visits that began on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and ended the following Sunday.

AOPA encourages pilots to check notams frequently, including the FAA’s TFR webpage, for details.
