Plane Spotter
When eggs flew
When eggs flew
Design a fuselage that resembles an egg with a windscreen. Fit a rear-facing engine, shoulder-mounted wings, fixed landing gear, and twin booms terminated by vertical fins (only one of which is rudder-equipped). Add four pedals in front of the pilot in the two-place cockpit—two for rudder, one for non-differential braking, one for starting—but control taxiing with the yoke, not pedals. This was the bold blueprint of the 1940s-era Anderson-Greenwood AG–14, conceived for a postwar flying boom that proved elusive. Of five airplanes produced, three remain under U.S. registry.
Final Exam
Question

I must have missed the FAA reminder notice to renew my aircraft registration and now it has expired. How do I get it reinstated?
Answer
To reinstate an expired registration, complete and send a standard registration application, FAA Form 8050-1, along with the $5 fee, to Aircraft Registry in Oklahoma City. The FAA is currently one month behind on processing these, so expect to wait a full month plus mailing time after receipt at the FAA to receive your new registration certificate. If you have questions, you can submit them to the Aircraft Registration Branch online or call 866-762-9434 or 405-954-3116.

This question and answer were provided by the aviation experts in AOPA's Pilot Information Center.
