Final Exam
Question

Someone recently told me that the pilot in command of fixed-wing aircraft must sit in the left seat. I have not been able to find any regulation to support this. Is this correct?
Answer
There is no FAA regulation that requires the PIC to sit in the left seat, but some insurance providers may require that the PIC occupy the left seat for the policy coverage to be in force.
