Question

Is it legal to fly under a bridge?
Answer
Even if you can describe a possible scenario in which flying under a bridge would be legal, in most cases you would likely run afoul of regulations covering minimum safe altitude requirements over both congested and uncongested areas. Also, the FAA still has FAR 91.13 at its disposal to deal with an operation it deems careless or reckless—so avoiding flight under bridges is recommended. Join the discussion >
