Italian airframer Tecnam reported providing a package of five aircraft purchased by a Lakeland, Florida-based flight training and charter provider.
Legends Airways operates Part 135 charters utilizing Saab 340Bs and a British Aerospace Jetstream 31, as well as a Part 141/Part 61 flight school. Many of the school's graduates land jobs in the company’s charter operation. Those students will be training in Tecnam aircraft, starting with the P2008 LSA model for primary training, stepping up to the P2010 four-place single, and progressing to the P2006T light twin, all of which are equipped with Garmin avionics.
Two weeks before EAA AirVenture began in July, Tecnam tapped industry veteran David Copeland to lead sales throughout North America. Copeland pledged to raise the company’s profile: “We have a super story to tell and sell.”
The P2006T was featured in the July issue of AOPA Pilot, and information about this model can also be found in the AOPA Aircraft Guide. Details on the Tecnam P2008 and P2010 models are also available there.
