Gran lusso means “great luxury” in Italian. Tecnam said the P2010 Gran Lusso flies with a Continental CD-170 (170 horsepower) diesel engine and three-blade constant speed MT composite propeller controlled by a full authority digital engine contrrol system. The engine can run on Jet A, Jet A-1, and diesel fuel, and it burns 5.2 gallons per hour.

The useful load is said to be 805 pounds. The max cruise speed is 140 knots, and the maximum range is 961 nautical miles.

Among the upgraded interior features, Tecnam cites leather interior available in six colors, electrically adjustable front seats, and a portable oxygen system for four people. The avionics options include the Garmin G1000 NXi IFR twin-screen display with integrated GFC 700 autopilot.

Tecnam said the Gran Lusso also features new parking brakes for easier control; improved USB ports; relocated electrical rudder trim; and new wingtips with integrated LED lights.

The Gran Lusso made its international debut in April at Aero Friedrichshafen 2022.

Tecnam said at EAA AirVenture that the Gran Lusso sells for $626,750.

Also at the show, Director of Sales Dave Copeland said the P–Mentor trainer had been selected by Ryan Air for its cadet training program, and Tecnam expects the low-wing two-seater to be on display at EAA AirVenture 2023.
