AOPA’S AIR SAFETY INSTITUTE RELEASES STABILIZED IFR APPROACH IN THE BEYOND PROFICIENT VIDEO SERIES
The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association's Air Safety Institute (ASI) released a new video in its Beyond Proficient video series that provides a unique perspective on how to fly safely in the departure, en route, and approach profiles under instrument flight rules.
“Beyond Proficient: Stabilized IFR Approach captures the critical phases of flying an instrument approach from approach clearance to landing or transitioning to a missed approach,” said ASI Senior Director Paul Deres. “In addition, the video offers practical tips on how to identify and deal with task saturation and regain situational awareness on the approach.”
FlightInsight Founder Dan George added, “This first video addresses a pain point for many instrument pilots of all experience levels: how to stay organized and stable on an instrument approach.”
ASI collaborated with FlightInsight to create the series’ videos that offer tips and tricks to master complex instrument flying aspects.
