The airport is 35 miles west of Phoenix and hosts an exciting airshow each year that draws more than 30,000 visitors for the weekend.
There will be a dedicated section of the airshow for AOPA programming. There will be seminars from aviation safety experts and industry leaders on topics like collision avoidance, how pilots can engage the regulatory process, and how to buy or sell an airplane. There will also be hands-on aircraft displays and representation from leading-edge manufacturers in aviation.
On Friday, the airshow will host a student day, allowing students from the local area to attend the airshow and learn about exciting opportunities in aviation. The AOPA Foundation’s You Can Fly program will host discussions about starting a high school flying club and how students can get started in aviation.
An evening airshow is planned for Saturday night.
