“Many members do not realize we are much more than a magazine, or they have never been to our website to browse all the tools and resources available to them,” says Lauren Ayers (above), a senior representative for AOPA Member Services.
The AOPA Member Services team is available to answer your questions about the countless benefits AOPA has to offer, from memberships and initiatives to publications. The goal for the Member Services team is to make the member experience with AOPA truly a great one.
“I like to ask members what interests them, or what brought them to AOPA,” Ayers says. “Once I know that information, I am able to inform them of the benefits they might find intriguing, whether it is a direct benefit we provide, or from one of our partners.”
Members can reach out via phone call, email, chat, and regular “snail” mail. Each of the team members can correspond with a member in whatever method they prefer.
“We always want members to take advantage of as many benefits as possible,” says Ayers. “If someone is ever in doubt, it is always a good idea to contact us to see how we can help, or what information we can provide.”
Ayers has served AOPA members since 2013. “I am well-versed in all aspects of membership,” she says. “I enjoy being able to help members, whether it be in direct contact or from a staff member asking for assistance. The successful outcome of a happy member is what we all want and what we are here for.”
