The National World War II Museum in New Orleans opened this special exhibition on Veterans Day 2023.

Through unique and colorful artifacts from the museum’s collection, many on display for the first time, Our War Too highlights the personal stories, struggles, and motivations of individual servicewomen who often waged personal battles with families, combated negative stereotypes and public resistance, and grappled with discrimination, all while facing physical danger in the skies, seas, and battlefronts across the world. The museum celebrated the opening of Our War Too during its Veterans Day Commemoration Ceremony presented by Bank of America. Women who have served in the armed forces were invited to attend the ceremony. The exhibit is presented by the Gayle and Tom Benson Charitable Foundation and will be on display at the museum through July 21, 2024, before traveling to other host venues across the country.
