These families love their airplanes and all the fun they can have traveling together. Keep those photos and stories coming!
I saw another owner describe this as an old man’s twin, and I couldn’t agree more. Very stable at low speed, lots of power, and simple systems. The only other description I’d add is “family fun enabler.” It’s taken this crew from Anchorage to Key West and points in between.

I have owned the aircraft for approximately two years and thoroughly enjoy every opportunity I have to fly it. I typically fly two to three times per week, and one of my favorite activities is visiting various airport restaurants along my routes. What makes these experiences especially meaningful is the time I get to spend with my father, Walter. He has always had a strong interest in aviation and served for five years in the U.S. Navy. Sharing these flights with him has deepened our bond and made flying even more rewarding.

My father, Ted L. Flores, learned to fly in the 1960s and is a commercial pilot. My older brother Ted A. Flores and myself are also pilots. My daughter Chloe Flores-Simpson is a major in the U.S. Army and a Black Hawk helicopter pilot with a couple of combat deployments under her belt and is a fixed-wing pilot as well. My son, Zachary Flores, is an A&P mechanic and the materials director for Ten Tanker Air Carrier. Aviation has always been a family affair. My dad bought N736QU in the early 1980s, and it has been in the family ever since. QU is a great traveling machine and has taken us all over the United States and Mexico.

As a kid, I flew a lot with my dad, and now I get to fly my dad around and share the joy of flight with my amazing daughter. Our Cessna Turbo Skylane 182RG is based at Falcon Field (FFZ).

Father and son bought this in 1996 and had it rebuilt in 2012. Son is a CFI and CFI-G and flies it regularly doing BFRs et cetera. I like to fly it to fly-ins and display days or just flying low and slow to look around at the country below. A true joy to fly! Once we had it completely rebuilt we decided to keep it out of the gravel and the rocks and just keep it looking new. Engine redone also and it runs like a sewing machine!
