AOPA has always strived to make each member's experience the best it can be. That means offering more useful products and services, the best technical support in the industry, and most recently, a revised membership renewal process. The online renewal application is now shorter and easier to understand, and it has a few new features.
With AOPA's secure Internet server, online renewal is worry free and very easy. Traditionally, members renewed their membership through the mail, by telephone, by fax, and most recently, online. What sets the Internet renewal option apart from all the rest is access. Mail, phone, and fax are all somewhat cumbersome and may require you to take time out of your workday. The Internet is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Because the process is now much faster with the new upgrade, chances are it will take you less time, too.
To use AOPA's online renewal, visit the Web site ( https://www.aopa.org/apps/renew/). You can also navigate by going to the home page ( www.aopa.org), and clicking on Join/Renew at the top of the page. Be prepared to provide your user name, password, and membership number. There is one major bonus to renewing online; you save $2 off the membership dues. If you want to save even more, sign up for automatic renewal and get $4 off. This option is available to all members and takes the hassle out of renewing your membership by charging your dues automatically to your credit card every year.
AOPA values each and every member, and the new easy-to-use renewal process is a testament to that. "We feel that AOPA members deserve our best efforts, and we strive to make every membership experience the best it can be," says Dana Lohneis, director of membership marketing. "It's our sincere hope that members find this new renewal application easy and effective."
When it's time to renew, remember that there are a number of options available to you.
