Pilots are volunteering their time, money, and aircraft to airlift supplies and support to hurricane-damaged Baja, Mexico. The Baja Bush Pilots, an organization based in Chandler, Ariz., is spearheading relief efforts to assist the Mexican Red Cross of Southern Baja, Mexico, after Hurricane Jimena caused severe damage in the area. Chandler Aviation Inc. has been appointed a drop-off point for supplies to be flown into the area. Hurricane Jimena caused extensive flooding in the Baja peninsula, knocking out power in several areas and causing a shortage of fresh water and food. Pilots interested in helping with the effort can find out more at the Baja Bush Pilots Web site.
