Public meetings set for proposed Atlanta Class B changes

The FAA is proposing to modify Atlanta’s Class B airspace and wants input from pilots. The agency will be hosting public meetings on Feb. 22 and 25, and March 1 and 4 from 3 to 8:30 p.m. in order to allow pilots to present their views, recommendations, and comments on the proposal. Informal presentations will take place at 3 p.m., 5 p.m., and 7 p.m. so that attendees may arrive and leave at their convenience.

AOPA represented pilots on an airspace ad hoc committee that provided input on the proposal to the FAA and encourages local pilots to attend one of the upcoming meetings to provide input. Pilots who cannot attend may send their comments by April 3 to the FAA: Mark Ward, Manager, of Operations Support Group, Eastern Service Area, Air Traffic Organization, Federal Aviation Administration, P.O. Box 20636, Atlanta, GA 30320.
