AOPA Airport Support Network (ASN) volunteers from the Mid-Atlantic gathered Oct. 16, at Frederick Municipal Airport to share information, eat lunch, and tour AOPA headquarters.
“We always look for opportunities to see our volunteers face to face and learn more about the things that are happening at their airports, and inviting everyone to AOPA’s home airport was a natural,” said Joey Colleran, ASN director. “We all exchanged some great ideas and information, and our volunteers got to do some important networking with their neighbors in the region.”
Frederick ASN volunteer Jon Harden hosted the event and spent much of the afternoon grilling hotdogs and hamburgers for those who attended the event. Hardin is the founder of Aviation Insurance Resources (AIR PROS), an independent aviation insurance agency, and he’s a member of the Frederick Airport Commission.
More than a dozen ASN volunteers representing airports in states from New York to Virginia attended the event.
