Then, in “ADS-B on your iPad” on Oct. 11 from 3:15 to 4:30 p.m., he will explain Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) in easy-to-understand terms and tell you how you can get free in-flight weather and traffic on your iPad. The ADS-B seminar will be in Room 202D of the convention center.
Pilots who wonder if the iPad would be useful in the cockpit or want to start using it while flying should join Zimmerman on Oct. 10 at 10:30 a.m. for “iPad 101” in Ballroom B. Zimmerman will cover everything from choosing the right model iPad and downloading apps to cockpit accessories and legal considerations.
