Kids attending EAA AirVenture July 28 through Aug. 3 can join crop duster/air racer/firefighter Dusty Crophopper from Disney’s Planes: Fire and Rescue for activities at an interactive display on the AOPA campus.
AOPA’s expanded presence at the Oshkosh, Wisconsin, show includes something for everyone, including younger attendees who enjoyed the animated feature Planes and its 2014 sequel, which follows Crophopper into the world of aerial firefighting. Kids can play with their favorite characters while their parents take care of membership needs or visit with AOPA staff.
Parents and children alike can appreciate the excitement of airshow routines by three-time U.S. National Aerobatic Champion Patty Wagstaff, who will sign autographs outside the main tent July 30 at 10 a.m., July 31 at 11 a.m., and Aug. 1 at 11 a.m. Members can find out more about AOPA initiatives from AOPA President Mark Baker during a Pilot Town Hall July 29 at 11 a.m., or start the day with free coffee and doughnuts with Baker and the association’s leadership team at 8 a.m. on July 31.
Don’t forget, AOPA has a new location right on the flight line, with a full schedule of seminars and events in the new activity tent. Find out more about AOPA’s expanded presence at the show online.
