FAA sets deadline for Cheyenne MOA comments

Comments due June 14

A modification to the southwest corner of the proposed special-use airspace in the existing U.S. Air Force’s Cheyenne Low and High military operations areas will give members time to comment on a proposal that the FAA is considering.

The original proposal was circulated in 2013. The change would impact general aviation in three areas: two victor airways, including V17 southeast of the Goodland VOR and V216 northeast of the Lamar VOR; Eads Municipal Airport would lie directly under the proposed Cougar Low MOA; and Tribune Municipal Airport would lie within two miles of the southern boundary of the MOA.

AOPA reviewed the 2013 proposal, received feedback from members, and submitted comments. The association also will submit comments by the June 14 deadline.

Members are encouraged to submit comments on the modification to: Department of Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration, Manager, Operations Support Group,Western Service Center, 1601 Lind Ave. SW, Renton, Wash., 98057. Refer to Aeronautical Study No. 13-ANM-22NR. Comments also can be submitted via email. AOPA would like a copy of any comments.
