Frigge promoted to president of Hartzell Propeller

Joe Brown assumes role as chairman

J.J. Frigge was tapped to lead Hartzell Propeller, a role previously held by Joe Brown, who will assume the role of chairman, the company announced January 27.

Frigge previously held roles as the propeller company’s executive vice president and general manager, “where he provided strong leadership to the business and delivered excellent results,” Brown noted in a news release.

The company added that Frigge, who came to Hartzell from the Procter & Gamble Co. in 2011, had “distinguished himself as a thoughtful and respected leader” as his roles evolved.

The company was purchased from Hartzell family members by James Brown Jr. in 1987. Its propulsion systems serve the general, business, commercial, and military aviation communities.
