The Eastern West Virginia Regional Airport Authority, which operates Shepherd Field in Martinsburg, is partnering with Bravo Flight Training to offer Part 141 pilot training to area residents. Bravo Flight Training owner Brenda Tibbs was recognized as AOPA's best flight instructor in 2016.
Diamond singles bring aviation to Colorado youth
Diamond Aircraft delivered two Diamond DA40 NG single-engine airplanes to Aspen Flight Academy in Colorado to help teach science, technology, engineering, and math concepts to high school students through the lens of aviation. A partnership between the manufacturer and the Every Student Flies youth program includes delivering two new airplanes per year for the next 10 years.
One Plane Jane funds new scholarship
One Plane Jane, an aviation soft goods retailer that distributed free cloth face masks to aviators during a shortage, announced a $2,500 flight training scholarship for a female aviator. The application deadline is September 30.

Skyhawk deliveries push ATP fleet past 410 aircraft
Eight new Garmin G1000 NXi-equipped Cessna 172 Skyhawk aircraft were delivered to ATP Flight School and boosted the airline pilot training specialists' fleet to more than 410 aircraft. The Jacksonville, Florida-based flight training school ordered 100 Skyhawk SP models in 2019 to accommodate a long-term demand for airline pilots.

What is the definition of Class A airspace?
Answer
Class A airspace is defined in the Pilot's Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge as "Airspace from 18,000 feet MSL up to and including FL 600, including the airspace overlying the waters within 12 NM of the coast of the 48 contiguous states and Alaska; and designated international airspace beyond 12 NM of the coast of the 48 contiguous states and Alaska within areas of domestic radio navigational signal or ATC radar coverage, and within which domestic procedures are applied."
