Question of the Week
Question

Is there an FAA test for recreational drone operators?
Answer
The Recreational UAS Safety Test (TRUST) is now available. This FAA webpage explains who needs to take the TRUST and what proof you need to carry on your person. Interestingly, the requirement to take the TRUST is not a recurring one. The only time you need to retake it is if you lose your original certificate. The testing providers do not retain your certificates, or your information, so remember to keep a digital copy somewhere safe. Join the discussion >

This discussion is from our online Pilot Information Center, where you can ask questions, contribute answers, earn badges, and join our growing pilot community online. Got a question for our technical services staff? Contact AOPA.
