Question of the Week
|
Question
I have a commercial pilot certificate. Can I receive a tailwheel endorsement in a light sport aircraft from a sport pilot instructor that is also valid in a non-LSA? |
| Answer |
Yes, a tailwheel endorsement given in an LSA is valid for other tailwheel aircraft.
Advisory Circular AC 61-65H includes a sample endorsement "to act as pilot in command in a tailwheel airplane" that "may be given in a sport pilot aircraft by a sport pilot instructor, or in an airplane by a flight instructor with a rating other than a sport pilot rating."
