Question of the Week
|
Question
I have been trying to register my aircraft with the FAA but am running into long delays and worried my application will expire. What should I do? |
Answer |
The FAA Aircraft Registration branch is processing paperwork received in January as of late May. (Check current processing data and details about application extensions here.) This is concerning for owners facing registration expiration, but the FAA is taking steps to reduce processing time and in some cases issuing temporary extensions. Owners able to renew registration online can expect less delay, and additional staff will eventually improve processing time for applications submitted by mail. Join the discussion >
