Question of the Week
Question

Can an airline transport pilot with commercial single-engine land privileges achieve ATP privileges in a seaplane via the single-engine seaplane ATP practical test without having logged 50 hours of seaplane pilot-in-command time?
Answer
There is no requirement in the regulations to log any amount of PIC time toward this rating, seaplane or otherwise. All training time counts toward the required 50 hours of time in class. Join the discussion >
